Blameless is a short horror story game you can find on Steam. It’s of the first person search around one and done variety. One of the things I noticed, and you will too if you decide to load it up and play, is the almost near photo realism of some of the scenes. Additionally the game seems to be highly optimized as it ran and looked beautiful on my amateur GTX 1030 Nvidia card. The reason I am going to recommend this game is twofold. First, as already mentioned, the graphics are great, and second, the game took me to the point of near frustration but after calming myself down and going through the same area’s for the third time, I was able to find the things I needed to ultimately escape. But prior to that, the puzzles are NOT super intuitive and you’re gonna have to think a little bit, play with the environment, and don’t assume anything.

As usual I played the game three times before I completed it to the ending. I don’t think there are other endings and I tried to see if the game would go further because when it did end, I wasn’t sure it was over. I was able to find half of all the achievements but now that I know what the other achievements are, I’m going to go back to the game and find those, because this game was not just eye candy, it was fun. One of the achievements I didn’t find is hinted at in the picture above that I chose for this article, and now that I found that picture, it makes me want to go back and find the thing for the thing. 😉

Plus Blameless is free so there’s no reason to not give it a try. I will admit the horrors are very minimal, but I was satisfied in just playing the game, exploring all the areas, and finding the things I needed to progess. There are a couple of red herrings so watch out, there might be more than 1 wat to do something. Additionally, I’m real happy with completing this game in the 30-45 minutes it took me to complete because I never got stuck enough to have to get some hints from a playthrough, and that’s always nice. 🙂

So give it a go!
