I had some difficulty in finding a decent sized image for this fun little movie, but the above is what you get. Morgue is a movie from Paraguay. It’s in Spanish and I watched the movie with English sub-titles. This never bothers me. Anyways Morgue is an entertaining movie about some douchebag who ends up doing something real shitty and we know come-uppance is, well, coming.

Morgue is a simple movie in premise with very few characters and from what I could determine all practical effects; meaning that it doesn’t look like this film needed much postproduction for the special/visual effects or heavy computer visuals. But the story is definitely a cautionary tale and will remind you, hopefully, to always do the right thing. If you run someone over and kill them in the middle of the night with no-one around, call the police and an ambulance and tell them what happened. Don’t drive away thinking just because no one saw what happened and you were the only one around that you’ll just forget about it.

Except, you can’t run away from yourself. When that guilt finally sets in, in the world around you, or me, or our doomed security guard Diego, it’s what the mind might perceive or the dark places our thoughts go that become the unimaginable horror. If you’ve ever been down that road and tried to use your mind to alleviate a bad situation, you’ll surely relate to all the bad things the human mind can come up with, rational or not. Don’t make a bad situation worse…

I’ve said a lot now in not so many words, but Morgue was a great movie to watch. I’m sure there will be a bunch of people who will poo poo this movie, but there’s a great twist at the end that will surely leave you thinking.

If you’ve got Amazon Prime and an hour and a half or so to watch something scary, check out ‘Morgue’. I was satisfied with the horrors and I think you will be too.
